A L06 Turtle Friendly long-wavelength amber LED retrofit allows you to quickly upgrade outdoor steplights while protecting sea turtles from white, disorienting artificial light. These typically use pin-based or screw-based CFL, or low wattage HID lamp. The L06 installs in minutes replacing the existing lamp holder and ballast inside even the smallest of fixtures. No external driver is needed, simply connect the L06 directly to line voltage inside the fixture housing or junction box.
All three sizes of the turtle friendly LED retrofit meet UL 1598C safety requirements for field installation, as well as Florida State Wildlife Lighting Certification, IP65, and comply with requirements for the Buy American Act. The turtle friendly LED upgrades feature a five (5) year warranty, even when installed in outdoor rated and completely sealed step light fixtures.
